Las Vegas is a great place to visit. If you like to gamble it is the Mecca of betting, but if you don’t there are still plenty of fun things to do.

On of the biggest thrills in Las Vegas is the Downtown Zip Line, better know as the Fremont Street Flight Line. This attraction is owned and operated by Flightlinez. Located at the outdoor mall on Freemont Street in Las Vegas, this zip-line is over 800 feet long, and gives the rider a thrill from beginning to the end. No matter what your age is you will enjoy a trip on the zip.

The zip-line is open all day and late into the night. Tastes Like Travel did it at night when the lights and crowds are at their peak. In reality the hours are 12 noon until midnight except on Friday and Saturday when it is open until 2 AM. All ages are allowed to ride but if you are under 18 you must have your parents sign a waiver. There are some size and height restrictions. You must be between 60 and 250 pounds to ride and you cant be over 6’7″ tall because of clearance restriction on the ride (sorry NBA players). The cost is $15.00 before 6 pm and $20.00 after that.

Depending on the time of year plan on waiting for at least 30 minutes or so. The line starts outside the ticket office located next to the Walgreens at 425 Fremont St. Parking is available at the Fremont street parking garage on the corner of Carson and 4th street.

Zipline through downtown las vegas

Once you get through that line you get in line for the zipline which is up the elevators and on the roof. The cool part about standing in line is watching the other riders take the ride over Fremont Street. Some people are really nervous and fret the whole time, others are ready to go, but either way it is great people watching. The adrenaline starts pumping when you get on the platform. After that is is truly an exhilarating ride and well worth the wait.
